BIRMINGHAM– The Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Alabama, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Department of Labor will focus a Wednesday session of the federal interagency community engagement initiative, “Combating Religious Discrimination Today,” on religious discrimination in employment. The purpose of the roundtable discussion is to hear suggestions from community leaders about how the federal government can better address the problem of religious discrimination in employment.
Opening remarks for the roundtable will be open to the media.
